Jhenaidah Govt Veterinary College Affiliated As a Faculty of JUST

Jhenaidah Government Veterinary College has been affiliated as a faculty of  Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST).

This decision was taken at the 88th meeting of the Board of Regents of JUST on Tuesday (March 7) morning.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of JUST Professor Dr Md Anwar Hossain. According to the notification of last February 1, 2023, in accordance with the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the minutes of the 48th (special) meeting of the Academic Council held on February 4th were approved and the decision was implemented for the affiliation of Jhenaidah Government Veterinary College as a faculty of Jessore University of Science and Technology.

The Executive Director of Zahedee Foundation, and member of JUST Regent Board Md Nasser Shahrear Zahedee thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in this regard and said, "With this decision, the quality of education of Jhenaidah Government Veterinary College will increase many times and will be able to play a role in nation building".

Meanwhile, JUST registrar Md Ahsan Habib said in this regard that Jhenaidah Government Veterinary College has been affiliated already.

It is known that a total of 360 students are studying in 6 batches at Jhenaidah Government Veterinary College. For a long time, the students had been demonstrating for the inclusion of the Veterinary College as a faculty of Jessore University of Science and Technology.
